PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Maintenance, fabrication and installation of steel structures on surface and underground. This job opportunity is located in the Mpumalanga Highveld District at Klipspruit.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Trade test certificate Must be able to obtain a valid certificate of fitness.
- Language proficiency in English Needs to be ready for standby work and willing to work in shifts.
- Must have own reliable transport with code B drivers' licence.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Underground Mining Machines.
- Conduct fabrication, cutting and grinding. Conduct planned maintenance and mechanical installations.
- Welding duties.
- Building and Repairs of conveyors, shoots and structures.
- Implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
- Preserving existing conveyers and structures.
- Knowledge of building and refurbishing of underground mining machines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere and enforce relevant safety regulations and manage legal compliance (Mine Health and Safety Act). and standards.
- Excellent knowledge of equipment.
- Ability to multi-task and work without supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Critical-thinker and problem-solver.
- Any additional relevant certification will be considered an advantage.
