The purpose of the role:
to maintain and repair all machinery and equipment used in underground production. This employment opportunity is at Klipspruit situated in Mpumalanga Highveld District.
Role requirements:
- Grade 12
- Valid trade certificate (Section 28 certificates not accepted).
- Gas testing certificate.
- Flame proof certificate.
- At least 2 to 5 years underground experience as an Electrician.
- Demonstrated ability to identify errors in production machinery.
- Experience on JOY JNA 2 Continuous Miners, Sandvik MC 430 Continuous Miners, Fletcher Twin Boom Roof Bolters, Phillips/JOY/Coal seam Shuttle Cars, Buffalo 8500 Feeder Breakers, Dimako / Hansen - Genwest Transformer and Switchgear, Dimako Ring Main Unit, Conveyor Belt Systems, and JAE / Phillips Scoop and Battery Chargers will be advantageous.
- Monitech CH and Water System, Monitech, Matrix Proximity Detection System and Monitech Wet Laser Curtain System.
- Own a dependable vehicle and possess a valid code B driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain a valid medical certificate.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair production machines in section and conveyor belt system.
- Daily inspection on all machines and equipment in and around the production section.
- Complete daily documentation (Job Cards, Logbook and Daily Shift Report, etc.) required by Supervisor.
- Good housekeeping.
