Experience and Qualifications:
• Valid Electrical Qualification (Red seal).
• Valid Wireman's license will be advantageous.
• At least 2 years' experience in the maintenance of industrial electrical equipment.
• Must be proficient in both Afrikaans and English for communication.
• Knowledge in the operation, installation and programming of VSD's and PLC's are essential.
• Experience in various Communication Protocols like Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU and IO-Link will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of various process sensors like, Pt100, Calorimetric flow meter, Ultrasonic level sensor, Pressure Transmitters, etc. are essential. • It will help to have some knowledge of refrigeration maintenance.
Characteristics:
• A production-driven mindset is essential to determine critical maintenance tasks.
• Must be a hardworking person who can function well under pressure.
• Safety awareness remains crucial in the performance of all tasks.
The position entails:
• Comprehensive electrical maintenance of production plants, administrative buildings, housing and general maintenance.
• Investigation and implementation of continual improvement opportunities, electrical consumption reduction initiatives and equipment improvement.
• The design, installation and implementation of new electrical equipment and projects.
• Administrative functions in terms of FSSC 22000 Food Safety Systems.
• Staff training, motivation, and effective management.
• It is a specific requirement that the successful candidate will be on standby as per operational requirements and must be willing to work overtime to ensure that production always runs effectively. Preference will be given to a successful candidate who resides close to the workplace.
