JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Receive and recount cash from drivers.
- Process payment against the correct driver as per receipt.
- Make up bank, ensuring that it balances daily.
- Record cash and cheques in cash-up summary.
- Prepare deposit for bank.
- Record seal numbers in register.
- Keep the cash office door locked at all times.
- Lock cash in safe overnight.
- Previous days taking to be removed from premises in a timely manner.
- Keep cash shortages to a minimum.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 (with maths & accounting)
- 2 – 3 years’ experience as a cashier or bank experience as well as general office experience
- Computer literate (Word, Excel & Syspro)
